Buffalo News - Satan's days numbered

Buffalo News - Satan's days numbered

OK, knew it could happen, really didn't think it would, Miro has been here forever, and sure people talk about how he takes a shift or even a game off here and there, though you really couldn't prove it by me. He has been our leading scorer forever it seems. He has been the ONLY bright spot at times the last few years.... So him and Lindy don't get along, deal with it. I personally think he has grown a ton. He is one of our best penalty killers. He logs a ton of Ice time. Hmm, I remember him being on the ice more than anyone other than Alex at the end of a tight game, is it any wonder he has a lot of empty net goals? Empty net is easy to hit, but you have to be on the ice to be able to hit it....... I really hope the powers that be wake up and realize what we will be losing, I know Miro won't last long on the open market, and I really hope Vanek is ready to fill those shoes, I just think they are much bigger shoes to fill than a LOT of people in this town have ever given Miro credit for wearing.

The Shirt

Pretty cool if you want to make a shirt from a dollar bill.

How The Pros Practice : Lesson by Robert Gravelle

How The Pros Practice : Lesson by Robert Gravelle: "Practicing with a Metronome"

Ok, great article and i am not even a musician, my brother is though, and i think he and his band mates should give it a read. Have to pass it on to them.

Buffalo Sabres Free Agents

Buffalo Sabres

Seeing this article got me thinking, so out comes the paper and pencil and I start looking at the list and filling out who goes where. At least as far as warm bodies go. I am not really sure how active the Sab's will be at least as far as forwards go.....
Vanek Drury and Briere. Hecht Roy and Afinogenov. Griere Dumont and Kotalik. 9 guys I definitely like on my team, Still leaves Bolton, Mair, Taylor (led the Amerks in scoring last year) and Peters to scrap for a couple of 4th line spots, and wait, totally forgot about Connolly and Pyatt, and still have Satan floating around here somewhere too. Starting to see why the powers that be like our team pretty much as it is. Oh wait, what about Pominville, Gaustad, and Bartovic still waiting in the wings down in Rochester. I am sure they will have something to say come training camp days.

Biron, Noronen or Miller? Oh, my, there are at least two dozen other teams in the league who wish they had that problem to solve.... nuf said.

Now on to the Defense. Fitzpatrick, McKee and Kalinin will all be back I would think. I wouldn't mind seeing Alex back in the black and red for another year, here is where we may be able to grab an impact free agent or two.... a truly offensive minded blue liner to run the power play.

Damn, not even August and I'm starting my countdown to opening day now..... Need to work some more OT so I can get at least a 10 pack for the season.

Testing Email Posting to Blogspot

What a great day to start my blog and a greater day to be a Buffalo Sports Fan!!!  I know I am not the only one who is actually excited about the upcoming seasons in both football and hockey.  So much to write about on both subjects, but for now I am only testing the email capabilities of this blog, I will get more in depth on my opinions of both the Bills (Go JP)  there is a great article in USA Today about JP check it out.  Thanks to the guys at WGR for the heads up this morning on that one.  And the Sabres,,,,,, its about to get interesting around here I think, and put me in the group with fingers and toes crossed for the unlikely event that the Sabres could actually win this draft lottery.

Peace..... Oh, and I am also one of those people who can't wait for hockey season to start......... I don't wait til after football to say that hockey season has started, anyone who says that isn't a TRUE Sabres Fan........
